Dicken to be interim Public Guardian

Perine & Dicken Professional Fiduciaries and Conservators in Visalia announced that Ron Dicken will serve as interim public guardian, public administrator and public Conservator for Monterey County, directing the office in all facets of fiscal and administrative management.

Dicken is the senior partner with Perine & Dicken in Visalia, which serves the Central Valley. He is also retired from Kings County as public guardian and veterans service officer. He has more than 25 years of experience in handling estates for conservatorships, guardianships and trusts, including personal and family trusts, settlement and special-needs trusts.

Kaweah Delta to open no-wait clinic Aug. 1

Sequoia Prompt Care, a division of the Kaweah Delta Health Care District, will open a clinic for general illnesses that promises to keep no one waiting.

The clinic, at 1110 S. Ben Maddox Way, Suite B, will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. Walk-in patients are welcome and most insurance, including workers' compensation, is accepted.

The new clinic is designed to ease pressures at Kaweah Delta Urgent Care and in the hospital's emergency room, said hospital CEO Lindsay Mann. It opens Aug. 1.
