Soccer Capsules: Hernandez back in Mexico squad for friendlies

MEXICO CITY (AP) - Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez will be the spearhead of attack Mexico's friendlies against Chile to come and Poland.

Hernandez missed last friendly against Mexico, the United States this month after a concussion, but was included in the number of 23 players chosen by coach Jose Manuel de la Torre on Wednesday.

Mexico plays Poland in Warsaw on September 2 and faces in Chile two days later in Barcelona.

Hernandez is one of nine players currently playing with foreign clubs named in the team.

Metapan surpasses Santos in the Champions League

Metapan, El Salvador (AP) - Paolo Suarez and Christian Bautista scored goals in each half of El Salvador beat Santos 2-0 on Wednesday Metapan, the movement of Mexicans in the Group B Champions League CONCACAF .
