Vendors sought

Vendor space is available for the Think Pink Motorcycle Run Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser. The event is planned Oct. 1, beginning and ending at the St. Johns County Fairgrounds, State Road 207.

Participation in the event has increased each year. In 2009, 89 bikers participated, and last year the number had increased to 273.

All proceeds go to help breast cancer patients who are being treated in St. Johns County. It is hoped that support can eventually expand to surrounding counties.

Vendors and information booths will be available at $35. Nonprofits with sales are $25. Nonprofit groups that are for education purposes only are free. Camping sites are available for vendors (for a fee).

Contact Peggy Jones email: unitystaug@comcast.net or call 571-1658.

Class reunions

* A 50th class reunion is planned to honor St. Augustine High and St. Joseph Academy classes of 1961. The celebration will be held in conjunction with the SAHS homecoming and hall of fame events. A welcoming reception will be held at Potter's Wax Museum downtown St. Augustine and a special class of '61 ghost tour is planned for those not attending the homecoming festivities. Saturday's evening event will also be held downtown (location TBA). All members wishing to celebrate this milestone are asked to contact Jerry Bexley at jerrybexley@comcast.net , 347-7894; Sissy Casto Wall, stillwall@comcast.net; 687-2161; or Pat Gantt Ballard, rbdstaug@aol.com , 797-3676.

The group desperately needs volunteers to help with the organization of these events and locate lost classmates. Members from the classes of 1960-'62 are also welcome.

* The St. Augustine High School Class of 1976 will gather at 7 p.m. Aug. 27 at the St. Augustine Shrine Club, Moultrie, for a 35-year reunion. Cost is $35 per person. A Friday night social begins at 6 p.m. Aug. 26 at The White Lion.

An invitation is extended to members of the classes of 1975 and 1977.
